As a seasoned educational consultant, reading tutor, and homeschool support specialist in Maryland, I bring over three decades of experience in both public and private education settings. My work has spanned classroom teaching, one-on-one reading intervention, educational evaluations, and parent coaching — all focused on helping students achieve academic success at every stage.
My foundation in Family and Child Development (B.S., Virginia Tech, 1989) gives me a deep understanding of how children grow, learn, and thrive. I earned a Master of Education with a concentration in Reading from Towson University (1997), followed by a Graduate Certificate in Autism Education from Liberty University (2013). In addition, I am a Maryland Certified Educator with continued graduate-level coursework in Reading and Special Education.
I am extensively trained in Orton-Gillingham and Lindamood-Bell multisensory reading instruction, equipping me to support students with dyslexia, ADHD, language-based learning disabilities, and those on the autism spectrum. My approach is grounded in evidence-based strategies tailored to each learner’s unique needs.
