As an experienced educator in both the private and public arenas, I have had a variety of responsibilities as a classroom teacher and as a reading support provider.  My undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1989), equips me to understand the nature of learners.  I hold a Master of Education degree from Towson University (1997) with a Reading Concentration.
