About Me...
As an experienced educator in both the private and public arenas, I have had a variety of responsibilities as a classroom teacher and as a reading support provider. My undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1989), equips me to understand the nature of learners. I hold a Master of Education degree from Towson University (1997) with a Reading Concentration. In 2013, I earned a Graduate Certificate in Autism Education from Liberty University. Additionally, I am a Maryland Certified Educator who has completed supplementary graduate coursework in Reading and Special Education. Training in both Lindamood-Bell and Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Reading Approaches strengthens my understanding of the reading process.
I am committed to assisting my clients develop the necessary skills to achieve their goals. Since seeking academic support is an investment of both time and financial resources, I strive to provide quality services in an affordable manner. Parenting three children enhances my perspective and holistic approach as I guide families through the educational process.
